So I'm in the car right with some family and friends listening to the radio (which I only do when somebody else puts it on) and of course the radio plays the same like-minded songs for like pretty much the entire show. My question is what's up with the auto-tune? Why the fascination? I mean maybe if it was just T-Pain although I find him to be rather annoying, but atleast it would be one person using it. Now we have an entire generation dedicated to having this effect on every last song we hear. It's a bit stifling this auto-tune shit is, that along with Lil Wayne being on every track, I mean EVERY track? Seriously? Have we come to a point where we settle and don't want to venture out to something original, something different? I think it's about time we have a breath of fresh air something that can bring substance back to the industry. I shouldn't have to listen to a Souljah Boy track with him sounding nasty and shitty, but it somehow reaches number one on the Billboard charts. I shouldn't have to put on the radio with hopes to hear something meaningful and have to turn it back off because Lil Wayne is on 5 songs in the same show. I'm that disgusted that I even have to write about in a blog... but hey that's the way of the new world I guess.
